February 2023
the outside patio
We had always planned to use the area below the concrete beams for lying around outside (some people call it chilling) but knew that this area would need to be protected from wind and sun. So it would need a covering, either transparent or translucent, which can absorb UV light. And it would need some kind of wind barrier on 2 sides.
Our architect suggested some companies to do this and after we’d contacted a few, at the beginning of February we accepted the detailed offer from Aluminio Herni in Arrecife.
They said it would take around 6 to 8 weeks to manufacture and deliver the aluminium frames and the glass windows, but they could install the polycarbonate sheeting above the beams fairly fast.
So on the 20th of February they came and did this.
The next bit in this story is cementing the wall.
