packing in Gilching

We'd made pretty detailed plans about what we'd still need in Gilching and what we'd need in Lanzarote with lists of things to be bought in Germany and shipped and things we should buy in Lanzarote.

We were told that the container would arrive at the removal company in Schwabing on Friday, the 2nd of September, and should be filled within 2 hours. So, working backwards from that, we arranged with the removal company that they would pick up the rest of the stuff from Gilching the previous day and we would drive to Schwabing in both cars to be there at 8 the following morning.

The packing material had been delivered earlier and on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning we went through the lists and in every room in the house packing everything.

On the Thursday afternoon the people from the removal company came to pack the fragile things, like the speakers, other parts of the music system and the guitars.

And then they packed it all in the lorry and off they went.
