Sometime in November 2022 I’d heard that down near the beach at the Costa del Janubio one can see the sun dropping into the sea and the full moon rising over Yaiza . On the days round the full moon on December the 8th the weather was bad, so I had to postpone this. But for the next full moon on the 6th of January (at 23:07) the weather was pretty good.

I’d seen the sun sinking into the sea quite a few times from our house in Las Breñas, but never directly standing on a beach, so this would be new too.

It was very impressive with the sun setting in front of me and the full moon rising behind me.

We’ll be going back again on the 8th of February with the full moon (at 13:50).
